Stradling Represents Roth Capital in Gen Restaurant Group's Upsized $43 Million IPO

A Stradling team led by capital markets shareholder Ryan Wilkins ,corporate shareholder Alidad Damooei and corporate associates Amanda McFall, Yasmine Kalhor, and Sydney Redmond represented Roth Capital in Gen Restaurant Group's upsized $43 million IPO.  The deal closed on June 30.  

The company went public through an "up-C" tax structure, which enables pre-IPO owners to retain tax benefits similar to those of a partnership while the public entity is taxed like a corporation. 

Gen Korean BBQ operates 34 restaurants, mostly in California and the Western U.S., with a "cook-it-yourself" model that enables patrons to order entrées and cook most of their meals with grills embedded in the center of their tables.
