Stradling Welcomes Back Two Corporate Shareholders in Newport Beach

Newport Beach, CA – Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth is pleased to welcome the return of two attorneys who will become Shareholders in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice in the Newport Beach office.  Prior to rejoining Stradling, Chris Y. Chen was a partner at Mundell, Odlum & Haws, LLP and was the General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary of an international satellite communications company based in Southern California. Pace McCaskill was Special Counsel at Cooley. Both attorneys worked at Stradling as associates.

“We appreciate the experience they bring to our firm and are happy to welcome them back,” says Ryan C. Wilkins, chair of the Corporate & Securities Practice and a member of Stradling’s Executive Committee. “Despite the news about the economy, business is still brisk, and our corporate clients continue to seek our advice on their corporate matters including mergers & acquisitions and other business operational issues.”

Chen, who focuses his practice in the areas of corporate and securities, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts, represents entrepreneurs, private businesses, publicly traded corporations and public agencies in various transactional and compliance matters, and frequently serves as the outside general counsel to his clients. He graduated from Cornell Law School with a J.D. and Cornell University with a B.A.

McCaskill represents emerging and established companies in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions transactions, joint ventures and other strategic initiatives, Securities Act and Exchange Act reporting, and corporate governance matters. He graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law with a J.D. and the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A. in International Business and Economics.
