Vivian Bickford

Vivian Bickford is an associate in Stradling’s Litigation practice group.

Prior to Stradling, Vivian was an associate at Jenner & Block in Los Angeles. Vivian received her JD from Pepperdine University in 2019, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, she was as an associate editor for Pepperdine Law Review. She also served as a judicial extern for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. 

Vivian received her BA in economics with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to attending law school, she worked as an auditor at a large public accounting firm, and she is a licensed CPA.

 

Experience

Currently representing a fashion and apparel company in a putative class action lawsuit involving the company’s membership program. The company is alleged to have advertised and sold its membership program to consumers in violation of California’s Automatic Renewal Law (CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.), False Advertising Law (CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500 et seq.), Unfair Competition Law (CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200 et seq.), and the Washington Consumer Protection Act (Wash. Rev. Code §§ 19.86.020, et seq.).
Currently representing a men’s skincare company in a putative class action lawsuit involving the company’s packaging and labeling. The company is alleged to have packaged and labeled its skincare products in violation of California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1750), Unfair Competition Laws (CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500 et seq. and § 17200 et seq.), and a number of other consumer protection laws.
