When Jason Anderson takes control of the fallout from a contentious real estate deal or an adversarial dispute regarding the ownership and management of a company, limited liability company or partnership, he looks beyond the litigation that will resolve those matters in the short term. Jason views each case from the lens of a business advisor. He protects his clients not only from current threats, but from the risk of economic and reputational damage caused by hasty litigation tactics that can derail a company’s long-term strategic goals.

More than 25 years of trial and arbitration experience have earned Jason a reputation as an aggressive, tough and strategic litigator. But for Jason, winning at trial is not motivation to take every case to trial. His best outcomes are those that save businesses money and distraction and ensure long-term growth. Jason helps C-suite executives, board members, in-house counsel, business owners and entrepreneurs assess the value of their business disputes within the company’s larger business strategy. For many clients, success means avoiding costly litigation through alternative dispute resolution techniques that preserve the key vendor partnerships and employee relationships his clients need to grow.

Jason’s litigation experience also includes numerous, unfair competition and false advertising, defamation, trademark infringement, and consumer class actions. When litigation cannot be avoided, he minimizes time and cost through highly responsive communication, confirmed expectations and a laser focus on the key aspects of the case mostly likely to resolve the matter with minimal business interruption for his client.

Prior to re-joining Stradling, Jason was a partner in Bingham’s Orange County office.

Some highlights of his career include the following cases:

Defended a manufacturer of consumer products in several related consumer class actions in multi-state litigation alleging false and misleading advertising.

Resolved a highly contentious real estate ownership, management, and breach of fiduciary duty claims arising out family trusts.

Defended a company and its owner in a 3.5-month jury trial against claims stemming from the sale of a business.

Employed pre-trial motions and creative due diligence to quickly end trademark infringement, business disparagement, and breach of fiduciary duty claims between owners and investors in a cannabis business.
