Chris Ivey is a business-minded lawyer whose solutions help companies operating throughout the United States and internationally achieve their goals at every stage of their lifecycle, from start-up to exit. Since 1994, Chris has helped public and private companies complete hundreds of mergers and acquisitions, in addition to assisting clients in venture capital financings, private equity financings, recapitalizations, and public capital market transactions. The sound and timely advice he provides helps build companies that are attractive acquisition targets for investors and public companies alike. He also advises clients in acquiring emerging companies as part of their private equity or strategic growth transactions.

Making clients’ interests a top priority has earned Chris long-time relationships with companies across a wide range of industries, including technology, biotechnology, consumer products, engineering, health care and environmental services. Clients know he is committed to learning about their business, listening to their concerns and drawing on his experience in similar matters to find practical solutions. He understands their objectives and anticipates challenges before they arise. Boards of directors and executives often find that the responsive counsel he provides in transactional and financing decisions makes him the perfect fit as their outside general counsel for the long-run. Whether he’s advising on matters of fiduciary duty, corporate governance, securities compliance or other pressing legal concerns, the level of certainty he brings to any complex matter saves his clients time and money.

To balance the fast pace of his busy legal practice, Chris enjoys surfing and stand-up paddle boarding breaks on the ocean. Some of his more recent excursions have taken him out on the waves of the Kelly Slater Surf Ranch and around Santa Rosa Island.

Stradling represented Astro Pak, a provider of cleaning services, in its sale to The Stephens Group LLC, a private investment firm that partners with talented management teams to help build valuable businesses. 
Stradling completed the sale of i2i Systems, Inc. to Azara Healthcare, a portfolio company of Insight Partners. This sale aims to deliver industry-leading population health solutions to payers and providers supporting underserved communities.
Represented VolitionRx, a company which, through its subsidiaries, is developing and commercializing simple, easy-to-use, cost-effective blood tests to diagnose and monitor a range of diseases, including some cancers, diseases associated with NETosis and sepsis, in raising approximately $7 Million through the sale of Common Stock and Pre-Funded Warrants, plus up to an additional $14.5 million upon the future exercise of milestone-linked warrants.
