Oakland As Secure Funding For Move to Las Vegas

Represented the Oakland Athletics in its successful negotiation and drafting of legislation for adoption of the Nevada Legislature paving the way for the Athletics future move to Las Vegas.   The Athletics will receive up to $380 million in bonds and tax credits to finance a portion of the cost of a new $1.6 billion stadium to be located on the Las Vegas Strip where the Tropicana currently stands.  The stadium is planned to have a capacity of 30,000 and a retractable roof.  The move is awaiting Major League Baseball approval.
