Gill Champion and Bick Le Navigate Shareholder Class Action Arising Out of the Sale of POW! Entertainment

Represented Gill Champion and Bick Le in a putative shareholder class action arising from the acquisition of POW! Entertainment. In 2017, shareholders overwhelmingly approved the sale of POW! Entertainment to Camsing International Holding, a China-based entertainment company. The shareholder plaintiffs alleged that Stan Lee (a co-founder of POW!), Champion, one of POW!'s two directors, and Bick Le, POW's Foreign Officer, breached their fiduciary duties to POW!’s shareholders, by allegedly engaging in a self-interest transaction with a buyer who would guarantee them post-close employment and other benefits. In 2021, we secured a dismissal for Bick Le (Delaware Court of Chancery). We later secured a favorable settlement following a mediation for Gill Champion.
