City of Seattle Expands Waterfront Infrastructure with Bond Financing

Stradling served as bond counsel to the City of Seattle in connection with the extensive redevelopment of the downtown Seattle waterfront. Over the past decade, our team has played a central role in financing nearly every aspect of this transformative project. Our work has supported major initiatives such as the reconstruction of the seawall, removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, redevelopment of parks, pedestrian paths, and public spaces, development of Overlook Walk, expansion of Pike Place Market, and the renovation and expansion of the Seattle Aquarium and the new Ocean Pavilion, along with many other critical infrastructure improvements. This comprehensive effort is reshaping Seattle’s iconic waterfront into a vibrant, accessible public destination.
