Summer Berger is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Summer advises clients on securities offerings, Securities Act and Exchange Act reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.

Prior to Stradling, Summer was a tax controversy associate at the Law Offices of A. Lavar Taylor LLP., in Santa Ana, California. Summer worked on civil and criminal tax matters, including drafting letters, forms, and petitions, involving the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, and California Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA). She drafted briefs and motions for the Tax Court, Bankruptcy Court, and 9th Circuit as well as communicate with clients and participate in strategy meetings.

Summer received her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine. While in law school, Summer participated in the UCI Pre-Law Society Mentorship Program and was President of the Tax Law Society.  She also served as an SBA Mentor. She received her B.A. in History and Political Science from Vanguard University of Southern California.
